Bio

A graduate and gold-medal winner from the University of Winnipeg's music program, Julie has taught art workshops in southern Manitoba for over ten years.

Julie has studied extensively with internationally acclaimed artists throughout the United States, learning a wide range of styles and techniques, including old master's, alla prima and plein aire.

While many of Julie's art classes are single-day, paint-along seminars, she also teaches classes in theory and technique.

Julie's most recent pursuit, painting animal portraits, began when the adoption of a mischievous rescue-dog named Bucky into her home and heart re-ignited her life-long love of animals. Julie's landscapes and animal portraits are enjoyed internationally, and her fun, one-day workshops continue to be in high-demand.
